party on a budget

Would you like to plan a party but you don't have a large budget?

No problem....

You can still hire an event planner to help you with the event. As an event planner, we can show you ways to cut corners.

  • Silk flowers instead of real flowers. Silk flowers cost less and last longer

  • Go to a banquet hall or community center instead of a catering hall. At a banquet hall or community center you can bring in your own food and you will not have the per head fee that a catering hall charges.
  • Find people who are starting their business who need referrals, they are willing to do the job for less then an established vendor.

What to bring to your next holiday party

You've been invited to a friends holiday tree lighting party. Most people will bring an ornament to help trim the tree. You want your gift to stand out so what should you bring as a gift?
Here are a few unique gifts that will compliment a holiday tree lighting party.
  • A tree skirt
  • Christmas
  • Card Organizer
  • Scrap book Kit
  • Collection of Christmas CD
  • Punch Bowl with Egg Nog recipe
All of these gifts will compliment the party and also add to the theme. The host/hostess will appreciate your original gift.

Don't forget to bring some mistletoe too.

4 quick tips to plan the perfect holiday party

4 quick tips to plan your perfect holiday partyYou’ve made your invitation list, you’ve bought or made beautiful invitations, you’re all set for your holiday party…NOT.
To host a great holiday party requires a little more preparation. How many guests will show up? Is the menu simple but elegant? Will my guest have enough entertainment?
Every party should be the best party you’ve ever hosted. The best way to do this is to be prepared.
1. Invitations: The rule is half of the people you invite will actually show up, over invite. Mail an invitation if you’re having a special event. If it’s informal you can email and invitation. Follow up with a phone call 1 week before to confirm your guests.
2. Menu: When planning your menu decide if you are having a sit down dinner, a buffet, or cocktails and horsd’oeuves. One of the hottest trends now is mini appetizers and mini deserts. Always have a signature drink; it doesn’t have to be an alcoholic drink but something that signifies the party. For this holiday plan“Knock out Nog” Traditional egg nog with cinnamon sticks with rum.
3. Have a theme: Ask each guest to bring an ornament for your tree, a favorite holiday recipe, or funniest holiday photo. This will be a great ice breaker for your party and will create new holiday memories.
4. Don’t forget your camera. You need to capture your party for your memories. Send out a Thank you note with a picture from the party or email a photo collage.
